Small business branding case study: The Flooring Company
Growing a small flooring installation business' social following and enquiries through a rebrand, designed to reach a more premium audience.
Our branding brief from the client
The Flooring Company came to us looking for a brand refresh for their business, to represent their premium service and appeal to their target customer. At the time they had no logo, and a basic website which they had used for the past 5 years with little success. This meant there was no consistent branding across their online and offline channels, stopping the business gaining the momentum it should as a highly-skilled flooring installation service.
Our client was looking for a simple, modern brand image that could be rolled out across their digital and physical business assets. As part of this, they enlisted our support in designing and developing an updated mobile-optimised website, as well as advising them on how to incorporate the updated branding across their social media channels.
What we delivered
We began by creating a mood board for the brand, and from this we developed a premium, classic logo which is shown to the right with the core brand colours. This was then rolled out across their social media platforms, business card and company vehicles to give a consistent brand image that runs through all of their business assets. We also incorporated the updated branding into a new, custom-built website. This was both desktop and mobile friendly, acting as a home to the brand and featured an interactive gallery to show examples of their work, as well as a contact form for any potential customers.
Since the delivery of these assets, we have continued to work with The Flooring Company on an ongoing basis, to help them become the most recognised premium flooring service in their geographical area. To accomplish this, our main focus is on search engine marketing - as we know this is the channel that most users will use to find these types of service providers. By continually developing the brand's website structure and content through copywriting services, we are helping to boost their rankings and receive more business.
What were the results?
Since the brand relaunch The Flooring Company have achieved a 24% increase in their social media following as well as a noticeable uplift in the amount of new business they have received, most importantly, from their ideal target customers.
